These steps summarize what you can expect during the production process of your interior book design and how we’ll be working together.
We’ll have a friendly phone conversation. We’ll talk about your book's subject matter in depth, your book’s vision and the demographic of the reader to establish a solid design direction.
Once we’ve discussed all the details of your book, I’ll approximate the amount of pages to your book’s final trim size and email you an accurate quote.
Expert copy editors, proofreaders or indexers are available under my resource link.
Email a Zip file, FTP, or mail me a DVD/CD-Rom with your full manuscript in a word-processing program along with all your photos and other content if applied.
I’ll gather all the proper printing requirements from your printer to properly prepare your files.
I’ll create 2 to 3 page layout designs – each one will include a title page and a two page spread to guide us to your final page layout. The approved page layout can be ‘tweaked’ if needed to your 100% satisfaction.
Your complete interior book design is emailed to you as a ready for print PDF for a final proofing.
Once approved, I can either upload the PDF file to your printer’s FTP site, your FTP site, emailed to you or saved on DVD and mailed directly to your printer or to you.
You’re a published author. I’ll mail you a DVD for safekeeping that will include: The Packaged InDesign file (your interior book design which will iclude: photos, fonts, prepress info for your printer and all other elements that were used in your book design) and a ready-for-print PDF file.
This guide is straight forward guaranteeing from start to finish that your plan is achieved in your final book design and that you're 100% satisfied in the end. I’ll market your published book on my website with a link directly to where it can be found and bought.
